Never Before Seen Photos!

Here are some personal photos. The first one is the very last shot that Anthony Minghella took on his last day in the Delta. It’s a bit fuzzy but you can see the film equipment on the boat if you try. The crew is trying to get the shot of the Fish Eagle swooping down for a fish in the river (which appears in the opening credit sequence of the pilot.)

There are some photos of early scouts. You’ll see Anthony at a labola ceremony (where a groom was negotiating the price for his bride, in this case, the bride was Unity Dow and she got 12 cows.) You’ll see the women preparing the food over an open fire. Most ceremonies in Africa include food !!

And finally there are some photos of the early construction of the Agency set, the actual set buildings when done, and the very first day of shooting – photos of extras and stars !
