We wanted two guys, who were real guy-guys, who knew what entertainment was, is and should be. After all, we’ve got enough “chick” on this site.
So we looked around for the perfect men to advise Michigan and Trumbull on our content.
In the first case, we “found” somebody whom we had always known and highly regarded. Matthew Valentinas worked with Amy J. Moore long ago at Unapix Entertainment in New York City. At the time, he was getting his BFA in film and television production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She was impressed, “this man is brilliant at spotting commercial scripts and talent, writing, working with celebrities,” and because of his incredible creative abilities, she urged him not to go to law school. He got a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston with a focus on intellectual property and corporate finance. That’s amazingly helpful too now, and Moore’s glad he ignored her advice. Check out his advice column, we always do!
In the second case, we approached things a little differently. Most people talk about “thinking outside of the box.” Cinechicks thought out of the ballpark. We approached Matthew Chatlin to advise us on what stories he thought would be appropriate for our male film division. He has a commanding knowledge of film and television, and a keen eye for human behavior. Matt works for us as the Vice President of Research and Creative Development – so feel free to contact him directly with any of your movie or television series ideas: michigantrumbull@gmail.com.
See you on Tigers’ Opening Day: April 5, when we unveil more about Michigan and Trumbull Productions.
