Named after the cross streets where the old Tiger baseball stadium had been located, Michigan and Trumbull Productions is the male-centric division of Cinechicks. Our mission is to work with emerging, new creative talent. We are committed to working with new writers who can take ideas and stories, and turn them into entertaining screenplays.
We believe what Bud Schulberg said in an interview once about writers:
“It’s the writer’s responsibility to stand up against that power. The writers are really almost the only ones, except for very honest politicians, who can make any dent on that system.”
We want to make a dent in the system. The themes of the Michigan and Trumbull projects revolve around sports, politics, social culture, and change. We are open to all genres, particularly comedies. We have an active development slate of approximately 8 projects but do not publish this slate on line.
Inspired by legendary Tiger greats like Ty Cobb, Al Kaline, Jack Morris, Kirk Gibson and Justin Verlander – we are committed to working with new writers who are promising legends themselves.
