What & How?
We held a day-long workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa to listen to the boys’ input and thoughts about what it means to be a hero, furthermore, what it means to be an African hero.
The boys were chosen because of their strong bond of friendship and coincidentally represented very differing family backgrounds.
Each boy drew a life-size body map that represented his conscious beliefs about heroic codes. But several unconscious and collective ideas emerged about leadership, responsibility, strength, and what it means to be a hero today in Africa.
