After two decades of living overseas, journalist and traveler Jennifer Conlin moved back “home” to Michigan from the Middle East about a year ago with her “expatriate” family.

“One of the highlights of being back has been discovering the diversity of my home state of Michigan and specifically, Detroit, a city I had never spent much time in until this year. So for the immediate future, at least, I plan to spend more time reporting from downtown Detroit, not only on its rich cultural life, but on the incredibly resilient and committed citizens who live there and are working so hard every day to revitalize the “Big D” and bring it back for the future.”

Conlin shares her view of the world with Cinechicks in Jen’s World.
